Software Engineer for Graphic and Multimedia Designer:
The incumbent will provide all the publication layout and design for the offices' graphic identity.
They will prepare a full range of hard and soft copy graphic products such as tri-fold brochures,
informational handouts, web content, etc. Additional duties include Video Development, Audio Development, Image Development,
Flash Media Development, and Communications/Outreach.
Required Qualification:
Qualified candidates will possess at least 4 years of publication layout skills and must be able to create
original drawings/illustrations and create special products based on need. Candidates will need Web site
design experience and strong Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator skills. Demonstrated technical knowledge of digital
video/audio recorders, computer graphics and editing software, as well as Internet knowledge. Candidates should
have the ability to piece together short, cohesive video stories and to translate complex information into
laymans' terms. They will exercise judgment, resourcefulness and initiative to make decisions with little
supervisory assistance, and have experience managing time-sensitive projects (preferably digital Video
offerings), under tight deadlines. Knowledge of desktop multimedia applications and services, including
working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows computers, and the ability to organize information on computers.
Candidates must have working experience with the following computer applications: Adobe Photoshop,
Final Cut Studio Suite, iMovie HD, Macromedia Flash, Magpie or similar captioning application,
Media management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, QuickTime, and Windows Media.
Candidates must have good communication skills, PC expertise required. Software skills should include: Adobe
InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Professional. Should also possess at least 2 years professional video experience
and advanced written and oral communication and organizational skills.
Education:
BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
